Spiked Sports Lounge and Grill Is The Epitome of Class and Style

Wow! The natural reaction you’d utter after entering this very chic and posh Sports Bar Lounge and Grill.

We had the pleasure of attending the Spiked Sports Lounge and Grill ” Taste The Difference Bloggers Tasting”

This  place is a gem. Located in the heart of Mayfair, 7016 Frankford Ave in Philadelphia.  (near Tyson and Cottman Ave.)

We must admit, when we first heard it was located on Frankford Ave, we assumed it was closer to Kensington. However, that was not the case. The neighborhood is friendly with mostly businesses on the strip, and ample street parking.

When you first walk in what stands out the most is the Philadelphia Sports mural on the right side of the wall. You could tell every intricate detail were meticulously placed. This place is not what you would expect considering you’re not in ” Center City” Spiked Sports Lounge is modern, and it is equipped with all the amenities one  could ever ask for:

  • Fast speed Wifi
  • Juke box with an extensive library of music
  • Hookah (Unlimited flavors available)
  • Signature Drinks
  • Happy Hour
  • Special Weekend Events
  • VIP Memberships
  • Perka- Rewards System

As you make your way towards the other end of the bar, you will notice the liquor display light up with all of your favorite spirits. By then you would of been greeted by one of their amazing staff members. As you seat down you’ll notice the lounge section, and VIP area. You may get up from your seat to explore more that this place has to offer. Like the DJ booth facing the lounge, distinctive art on the wall, VIP tables with hookah, and  stylish, soft, comfortable lounge chairs.

Everything was aesthetically pleasing and inviting.  The type of place you’d want to spend your money, and time. We felt warm and fuzzy inside, and if it weren’t for previous obligations we probably would of stayed until closing.

You literally feel like family when you come here. This is mainly a family operated establishment. From what we’ve witness, they do take pride in treating you like you’re a member of the family. Customer service is undeniably the best in this area. We’ve visited several locations in Mayfair, and honestly there is no comparison.

#1 Reason to come here. THE FOOD!

This is not your typical bar food. 5 Star Worthy! fine dining experience in a lounge. First of all, they have a well classically trained “Chef” in the kitchen by the name of: Maulana. She is a force to be reckoned with. We will interview her in a couple of weeks, but for now let’s focus on the food. The secret is out of the bag!

Tasting

  1. Wings– The dry rub wings are so good here… you don’t need sauce to go with it. It’s like Cajun meets old bay and created this amazing concoction. It comes with this unbelievably delicious chipotle sauce.
  2. Chicken Cheesesteak Roll- This guilt free cheesesteak roll will have you salivating for more. It is an open concept roll, flaky, and generously stuffed with steak or chicken. Definitely a signature dish to order.
  3. Shrimp Tortellini– New Item Alert!  This bowl of deliciousness will be in their regular menu soon! What’s interesting is: “the sauce has no cheese” We have no words to describe how mouthwatering and scrumptious this was.
  4. Crab Cake Sandwich– Enjoyable! Delectable! Appetizing! Sapid! Words you’d think of as this rare “no filler ” crab cake sandwich enters your mouth. Nectarous, gratifying tasty sandwich.  This place should be known for their crab cake sandwich. You can’t find this in Maryland, yet here is this hidden gem in Philadelphia. Well….not so much of a secret anymore…lol This crab cake sandwich is a staple.

Signature ” Taste The Difference” Drinks

  1. Spiked Island
  2. Spiked Punch
  3. Effection
  4. Champion

The Drinks will not Disappoint. They free pour, and all the bartenders are trained Mixologists.
